How do I book a place?

Booking a place for Trinity’s Open Days has never been easier. All you need to do is contact the University either by phone 01267 676791, or by e-mail openday@trinity-cm.ac.uk giving your name, address, contact number and course of interest if you know. You could also complete and return the reply slip in our Prospectus. We will then send you a letter confirming your booking and giving you an outline for the day. If we require more information from you, we will ask you to get in touch with us.

What happens during my visit?

Campus

Open Days are a chance for you to get a feel of the University and its environment. A brief welcome talk and an overview of the University will be followed by subject talks where you will meet Lecturers and our Student Ambassadors. During subject talks, lecturers will talk about what you’ll be studying over the period of the degree, and will also give you details of what is required from you before and after becoming a student at Trinity. After the subject talks, you are given an opportunity to have a one to one discussion with a lecturer where you can ask as many questions as you like about your course. This is also an opportunity for them to get to know you, and it’s important that you find out as much as you can about the Course and the University.

You will then get a tour of the campus, where you will visit Trinity’s brand new Sport Centre, Student Accommodation, Canteen, Library, University Chapel, and the Students’ Union bars. During the tour you will get information on some of the extra-curricular experiences that are available for you at Trinity

By the end of the day you will know everything you need about the University, and your course.

Do I need to bring anything with me? i.e. a copy of my CV or Portfolio?

Accommodation

You don’t have to bring anything with you; however some students bring a Portfolio of their work or a copy of their CV with them, so they have something to show when going for a one to one discussion with a lecturer. Whether you do or don’t is entirely your choice. Some departments might ask you to bring a portfolio or a CV, and will invite you for an informal interview – but don’t worry, we’ll contact you before hand if that is the case.

Can I bring my friends and family?

Yes, you can bring as many friends and family as you want. You will need to inform us in advance of how many will be accompanying you so that we can ensure we have enough refreshments available.

Joanne Gillespie

My time at Trinity has been brilliant. Everyone is really friendly and helpful and it doesn’t take long to feel at home.

The course is really interesting, covering a wide range of topical issues. We went on an educational visit to New Zealand in the second year which was a wonderful experience that will stay with me forever.

The resources at Trinity are good, there are a number of IT suites available, an extensive library and fully stocked Teaching Resources Centre.

Living on campus is an excellent way of getting settled into a new place. Facilities are good and the atmosphere is lively.
